(Back then I was Saphrina, host of \u201cThe Galactic Center TV\u201d show.)<\/p>\n<p>So there I was \u2013 between the magnetic mattresses, crystal singing bowls, &#038; hyperbaric oxygen chambers \u2013 interviewing Viktoras Kulvinskas, the pioneer &#038; researcher with Dr. Ann Wigmore back in the 60\u2019s: The BIG DADDY of today\u2019s Raw Food movement!<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cYou know, I can tell just by looking at someone if they eat microwaved food.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well I was so busted, I looked right in the camera with an \u201cUh-oh!\u201d (ME at a loss for words???) What was this all about?<\/p>\n<p>Then I proceeded, to sample the full-on Raw buffet he prepared as a lunch for his workshop. YUM-O! My every cell said, \u201cYES! We want more of this crazy stuff &#038; so did my taste buds.<br \/>\nI freely indulged &#038; needed to learn more.<\/p>\n<p>This interlude encouraged me to delve into widespread research &#038; a journey that continues every day. I was a Science major before coming to the Big City to model &#038; do commercials during the 80\u2019s but all I knew was the \u201cHead o\u2019 Lettuce Diet\u201d back then. Whoever heard of seed \u201cyogurt\u201d, veggiekraut, &#038; almond pate?<\/p>\n<p>I owe the basics of \u201cRaw Living Foods\u201d training to the adorable \u201cWiggies\u201d: Directors Lalita &#038; Leola at the \u201cAnn Wigmore Natural Health Institute\u201d in Rincon, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>The 2-week training they gave me in March of 2000 planted all the seeds I needed to manage maximum health all by myself on a daily basis. I truly recommend their extensive classes as your initial Raw \u201cBoot Camp\u201d for simple Lifestyle changes. And they\u2019re right on a soothing Caribbean beach.<\/p>\n<p>Then I tried convincing my partner at \u201cSky in the Pie\u201d, Robert Shaman, to help me spread the word through the media. He\u2019s like \u201cOh great. Join us on Facebook to share your comments, tips, recipes, &#038; MIRACLES with others!<\/p>\n<p>Check out my 10 Minute-Meal in a Blender, \u201cGreen Sunshine\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Basic Smoothie Recipe: A COMPLETE Meal!<\/p>\n<p>Everything can be washed\/chopped\/stored ahead of time: Buy organic!<br \/>\nBlend all \u201chard\u201d vegetable ingredients first (with water halfway up the combination):<\/p>\n<p>1-2 ribs celery &#038; handful of parsley in bottom of blender<br \/>\n1 small carrot<br \/>\n1\/2 golden beet (also include stems)<br \/>\n1-2 radishes or chunk of daikon<br \/>\n1\/2 -1 whole lemon (peeled if not organic)<br \/>\n1\/2 palmful: pea, lentil, garbanzo or mung bean, etc. sprouts<br \/>\n1\/2 zucchini (or cucumber\/bok choy stalks, etc.)<br \/>\n1 red pepper &#038;\/or 1-2 tomatoes<br \/>\nSeaweeds: dulse or kelp (I also add raw jalapeno &#038; garlic &#8211; YUM-O!)<br \/>\nLater on adjust with celtic sea salt &#038; cayenne pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>Next add &#038; blend 1 avocado with around 5 Cups leafy GREENS: Combine alfalfa or broccoli sprouts, spinach, beet greens, bok choy greens, radish tops, swiss chard (whatever you have on hand). (You may find collard, watercress, kale, etc. a bit too bitter at first): Shove down side of blender &#038; do NOT over-blend the greens.<\/p>\n<p>TASTE &#038; experiment in a small bowl: If you like Mexican food, add fresh cilantro; Try ginger &#038; Nama Shoyu or Braggs aminos for Chinese. Italian: Fresh basil, oregano &#038; add an extra tomato with the greens. ENJOY! Garnish with seed yogurt, a flax cracker &#038; LOVE.<\/p>\n<p>A Quickie-Fix Jiffy blend:<br \/>\nJust make sure you have 1 lemon; 1 tomato; 1 zucchini or cucumber; avocado; &#038; a package of spinach.
